With slightly belled three-stage barrel signed 'I. Scamadine. Londini' and with silver fore-sight, and turned mouldings, foliate engraved tang, rounded lock with moulded border and signed within a cartouche, moulded lightly carved figured walnut full stock (minor chip at front of lock, tip of ramrod-channel cracked), full cast and chased silver mounts, pierced foliate side-plate, spurred pommel with grotesque mask cap, foliate escutcheon engraved with owner's crest, a stag passant, moulded silver ramrod-pipes, and iron-capped ramrod, London proof marks, barrel-forger's mark G crowned
