A Fine Pair Of 18-Bore Silver-Mounted Flintlock Holster Pistols

With slightly belled barrels signed on the short top flat at the breech and chiselled in relief with foliage, the rear of each breech with a stepped moulding and a band of engraved beadwork, silver fore-sights, engraved grooved tangs, signed rounded locks each with moulded border (cocks repaired), side-nails each with engraved head cut for a square key, moulded figured walnut full stocks each carved in relief with foliage near the ramrod tail-pipe and at the barrel tang, full cast and chased silver mounts, pierced foliate side-plates, spurred pommels each with engraved stepped oval cap, fluted trigger-guards with foliate finial issuing from a grotesque mask, foliate escutcheons each surmounted by a mask, baluster ramrod-pipes, and silver-tipped bone ramrods, in unusually fine condition throughout, London proof marks
