An Exceptional Cased Pair Of 30-Bore Flintlock Duelling Pistols

With swamped browned octagonal barrels signed at the breech and struck with Co. Carlow registration marks, the rear of the breeches with an engraved band of beadwork, silver fore-sights, finely engraved case-hardened tangs each incorporating the back-sight, signed case-hardened detented bevelled locks retained by two side-nails and each with safety-catch, blued steel-spring, and stepped tail, finely figured walnut full stocks, swelling flat-sided butts, engraved blued iron mounts including trigger-guards with acorn finial, set triggers, and original ramrods, one with powder-measure, in almost unused condition throughout: in original lined and fitted figured mahogany case with accessories including brass-mounted leather flask, the lid with flush-fitting carrying handle, London proof marks
