Maker's mark of Robert Timbrell & Joseph Bell I, London, 1710
Circular on a spreading foot, the body chased with bands of fluting, beads and stylized foliage against a punched ground, each side chased with an oval cartouche enclosed by scrolls and fishscale, engraved with a crest, with two lion's-mask bracket handles, the removable scalloped rim applied with masks between ropetwist, engraved under the base with a presentation inscription, fully marked on body, the rim struck with maker's mark four times
