etching, 1947-8, on Hollande van Gelder vellum, signed and dated in pencil, numbered 'épreuve d'artiste 1/5' (one of five artist's proofs without pochoir coloring, apart from the edition of 200 with pochoir), with wide margins, very pale light-and mat staining, a few spots of stray printing ink in the margins, one faint foxmark in the bottom margin, otherwise in very good condition
