The oval bowl enclosing an Imperial double-headed eagle within a foliate wreath, the flat shaped handle with stylized scrolls on each side and the Imperial crown at its end, the prow with pine cone finial, marked on the side

Lot Essay

The above two-color gold kovsh was purchased by Empress Alexandra Feodorovna in 1896 for 315 roubles; it is listed on a Fabergé bill dated 19 December 1896 addressed to her.
