A GOLD-MOUNTED HARDSTONE SNUFF-BOX
Probably English, late 18th century
Cylindrical, the faceted mocha agate body with reeded gold mounts and two hinged covers, each revealing a separate snuff compartment, one cover with an enamel miniature of a lady, the other cover enameled with putti surrounding a double headed eagle, apparently unmarked, the rims with French control marks
