chased and engraved gold mounted brooch frame
rectangular with cut corners, 1¾ x 13/8 in. (45 x 35 mm.); a gentleman, facing right in black coat with gilt buttons, white waistcoat and cravat (French School, circa 1800); and a young gentleman, facing left in brown coat and white waistcoat and cravat (German School circa 1810)
the former in gold frame with amphora-shaped drop and lock of hair reverse, the latter in frame with monogram MFM on reverse
rectangular and rectangular with cut corners, 2¼ x 17/8 in. (57 x 49 mm.) and 21/8 x 15/8 in. (54 x 42 mm.) (3)
