Lot Essay

Lavinia Bingham was one of five children. On 6th March 1781 she married the 2nd Earl Spencer, K.G. At the time she was described as "the most beautiful girl in fashionable life". She died on the 8th June 1831.
Sarah Spencer was the daughter of George John, 2nd Earl Spencer and Lavinia, eldest daughter of 1st Earl of Lucan. In 1813 she married 3rd Baron Lyttelton and died 1870, leaving issue.
