A VERY FINE AND RARE MING BLUE AND WHITE JAR
ENCIRCLED WANLI SIX-CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE PERIOD

The globular jar is alternately painted in vibrant tones of blue on the eight vertical lobes with leaping dragons and swooping phoenix amidst flaming pearls and fire-scrolls, all above the 'Three Friends': pine, bamboo and prunus, in a band around the foot, with a ruyi scroll border around the shoulder
