TWO LARGE PALE POTTERY STANDING HORSES
tang dynasty
Both modelled in animated pose looking mainly forwards, one with the right foreleg raised, the other standing foursquare, the surface attractively cleaned to show a careful even finish to the unglazed pottery, both set with small detachable crisply-moulded saddles retaining traces of original decoration, very minor traces of red, orange and black pigment remaining
