The lean probably youthful animal standing on long slender legs, a ribbed mane swept over to the left of the head, the mouth open, the lowered head applied with reins, the hindquarters with similar caparisons behind a small crisp saddle, the surface with some earth adhesions remaining, and traces of red, black and slight gilt decoration
