Covered with a white slip thinning above the exposed foot-rim and freely carved at the centre with a flower-head within a narrow undecorated band below three blossoming lotus-buds amidst curling leaves at the sides, all reserved on a combed ground, the rim and slightly-faceted exterior undecorated, foot chips, rim frit

A similar Cizhou basin, carved at the centre of the interior with a peony cluster below a trellis band, is in the Tokyo National Museum, illustrated by M.
