early tang dynasty, circa 7th century
Impassively modelled with tight closed mouth, crisp symmetrical nose and almost closed eyes, the long ears fairly flat against the head, the hair tightly knotted in an elaborate double dome over the high usnisa, surface chips and old damage, nose restored
