Check signed ("Seth Bullock"), Helena, Montana, April 25, 1871, payable to Smith Meek in the amount of $15, and drawn on Hershfield and Bros. Bankers. One small cancellation punch. Seth Bullock was the first sheriff of Deadwood, Dakota Territory. He was the man who arrested Jack McCall for the murder of Wild Bill Hickok in a Deadwood saloon.
