'It is not possible to be specific as to which of these might be counterfeits but nos. 6247-56, at least, seem likely to be so. On 6247-50 one of the letter Ns is retrograde; a word is mis-spelt on 6251-2; 6253-4 are of very crude style; and the wording on 6255-6 is intentionally different from the normal legends.'
