Finely carved in high relief as a crane standing on one leg on a rockwork base among gnarled branches issuing lingzhi, his left leg drawn up to his hollowed-out body incised with feathered wings, the cover carved with the long-beaked head turned sharply to the right holding a lingzhi-spray attached by a linked chain to the body, the even pale stone with minor mottled inclusions
