Fourteen assorted Meerschaum pipes and cigar holders, 19th century
The bowls and stems of varying designs, including; one with the bowl modelled as an upturned Prussian helmet, the spike grasped by a gloved hand, with silver collar, amber mouthpiece and silk lined case -- 5½in. (13.8cm.) long; another with a bowl modelled as a Greek oil lamp; another mounted with a carved monogram; three with bowls held in outstretched hands; another modelled as a hand-held bunch of flowers (stem lacking); two modelled as skulls (one stem lacking); and five cigar holders of varying type, each one amber mounted and cased (14)

No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VAT at 17.5% will be added to the buyer's premium which is invoiced on a VAT inclusive basis. On the Thursday one week after the sale, a transfer and administration charge of £18.50 per lot will be payable and a storage charge of £3.20 per lot per day will then come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
