We are grateful to Mario di Giampaolo who, on examining the present lot, has pointed out that it relates to a small painting on copper (25 x 20cm.) of the same subject by the artist in the Gemälde Galerie, Dresden (inventory no. 298; there catalogued as Italian School, sixteenth century).
