Today the most significant diamond deposits in Aia are those found on Kalimantar in Indonesia. these were famous throughout the region for the last 500 years and grace the crown jewels of local rulers and wealthy merchants throughout the period.
At first these stones were cut locally into crude rose-cuts known as ........ after the capitol of Kalimantan?? where they were traded with the ..... of the Dutch and ???bought modern technology and the cutting of stone into crude brilliants.
The diamonds of Kalimantan are characterised by their strong yellow tint, known locally as ............ (....... water colour) and so called because water is stained pale yellow by this local fruit.
This area is also known for coloured diamonds especially greens which often take on a brilliant lime green hue.
