set on four shaped feet, the hinged cover decorated on a raised central panel with a court scene within borders of birds amongst foliage and of calligraphic cartouches, the sides decorated with figural, bird and scenic cartouches within gilt-edged borders, and with gilt flowerheads and stars on a turquoise reserve, brass mounts and lock -- 5½in. (14.2cm.) long.
