gouache heightened with gold on paper, a royal warrior holds two snarling lions apart, while another man looks on from horseback, lines of black nasta'liq in four columns above and below, verso with 23ll., heading in red - folio 30.5 x 19.5cm.; another, four men gather on a hillside near a long-tailed green parrot, lines of black nasta'liq above and below, laid on another manuscript leaf, meandering vine border between gold and coloured rules, pink leaf with gold floral arabesques, Iran, 16th century and later - leaf 28.8 x 18.8cm.; and deity on composite cow, with snakes around his neck and water pouring from his head, the Hindu god sits astride the cow which is composed of animals, orange ruled border, India, 19th century - 15.5 x 10.5cm., all mounted (3)
