A Safavid brown and cream glazed lustre bowl
17th Century
on a short foot, decorated to the centre with a roundel reserved with scrolling foliage, the sides with a band of interlocking triangular panels reserved with stylised palmettes alternating with foliage, and a further band of scrolling foliage to the exterior -- 7¼in. (18.8cm.) diam, (rubbing to lustre, restoration to rim).
