a meissen cylindrical month jug Circa 1750, very faint small blue crossed swords mark, Pressnummer 24 and gilt no 2
(Monatsbecher) gilt and painted in colours, for January, the gilt scrolled cartouche reserved with a winterscene of skaters on a lake, a gentleman pushing a lady seated on a chair over the ice, inscribed in iron red Januarius, flanked by two grotesque Callot dwarfs, one wearing furs, the other amusing himself on a sleigh, the loop handle with purple motifs (crack to the upper part of the handle)
