Adolphe Ignat'evich Ladurner (1798-1855) worked in Russia from 1831 until 1855 painting mainly portraits and military subjects. This plaque shows the St. Petersburg Regiment (attached to the Guards in 1831 before which it was known as the Petersburg Line Grenadier Regiment) in ceremonial summer uniform.
