Ovoid, the body and domed cover painted with scroll and geometric bands enclosing a Russian adage in maroon, blue and yellow, the two handles and cover finial of moulded branch and foliate openwork, the shaped circular platter similarly decorated, the centre painted with a stylized bird imitating cross-stitch, marked under bases
