Lot Essay

The present lot is one of the few known Amsterdam School designs by Jac. van den Bosch. Both the Drents Museum in Assen and the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam have an example of this sideboard in their collection.

For comparison see:
L. Tibbe et.al., Jac. van den Bosch 1868-1948, Assen/Eindhoven 1987, p.79, no.79 for a design drawing of a comparable side-board with differently divided cupboard-doors
