A photo-certificate from Wanda de Guébriant dated Paris, 25 February 1988 accompanies this drawing, which is recorded under no. F I20 in the artist's archives.

This drawing is a study for the painting Tête, robe rouge, anémones, amandier dans le pot de bronze, sur une sellette de sculpteur (1940; location unknown). There is a sketch of flower studies on the verso of the sheet.
