Rounded iron, the upper part forming Mt. Fuji, the plate decorated in iron takazogan and gilt with an aubergine, the mimi irregularly hammered

Lot Essay

On New Year's day, it was thought to be lucky to dream of Mt. Fuji, an eagle and an aubergine. Although this tsuba lacks the second element, it was probably made for an auspicious occasions.
