This charger can, with confidence, be attributed to the Guild's output since one of its makers John Williams was living and working with the Guild in 1889. The Guild ruled that artists were to work exclusively for them and this strict demand, coupled with Pearson's growing reputation led him to resign his position from the Guild in 1895
