Australia in England 1938, Royal Worcester presentation bone china commemorative plate, shaped border applied with wide gilt floral scroll panel, well containing gilt signatures of the Australian team including Bradman, O'Reilly, McCabe, Fingleton, Hassett, Barnett and others, reverse inscribed in gilt 'The signatures of the Australian touring eleven, to commemorate their visit to the Worcester Royal Porcelain Works on May 3rd 1938' 27cm diam.
Presented to Barnett, the wicket-keeper. It was also during this visit of the Australian team to the porcelain works that the company expressed their intention of presenting Bradman with the Worcester vase (now in the Bradman collection, Adelaide) commemorating his three consecutive double centuries in the opening matches on the Worcester ground in 1930, 1934 and 1938.
