Lot Essay

Possibly Namekawa Sadakatsu School. Namekawa Sadakatsu (1848 - after 1900) apart from working in metals showed an interest in painting, drawing and poetry and studied under Hagiya Katsuhira. He exhibited regularly in international exhibitions and became the director of the Nihon Bijutsuin [Japan Art Academy].
