Wax capsule embossed with the Domaine's seal. Label complete, but stained. Vintage neck label states Monopole 1937. Excellent level c. 5cms below cork
Magnificent, most recently in magnum, medium deep, lovely warm, broad, autumnal colour with fine gradation to mature, mahogany-hued rim. Ripe, rich, classic "beetroot" Pinot, gentle, fragrant, sustained bouquet, very sweet, fairly full-bodied, fleshy, lovely flavour. Seemed to grow richer in the glass. Perfect tannin and acidity.(MB GVWBII)
