cover A selection of used cards from 1901 (3 bearing Peking dated oval) and includes a superb poster-style card of the dining car on the South Manchuria Railway, several military cards including 1901 Boxer rebellion cards by the German Printing & Publishing House (4) including a troop of Italian Bersaglieri, 1903 cards of different troopers (3, one bearing C.I.P. ½c. which shows slight doubling), 1911 real photo card showing the attack on Hankow plus some scarce postmarks including Tientsin bilingual c.d.s. in blue, Shanghai lunar c.d.s. in blue (2), a most unusual "SHANGHAI/BRIT.P.O." c.d.s. in violet and 1904 "CHINESE IMPERIAL POST" cancellation.
