Circular purple polished porphyry box with gold mounts, the lid inset with a gold-mounted micro-mosaic plaque depicting Pliny's Doves, the base with a gold-mounted micro-mosaic of a urn on a platform against a grey ground, within a circle of white squares alternating with sky-blues ones within a border of white and green chevrons, the sides walls inset with dark green micro-mosaic bands, the narrow one with sky blue waves, the broad one on the base with a gold-edged colourful bonbon-shaped baluster pattern, gold-lined sides
