The cover decorated in gold, dark grey and green lacquer pieces with a lotus flower and leaves, the inside inlaid in mother-of-pearl with a bird and foliage, inner metal tray pierced with kikko pattern, 18th century, (some mother-of-pearl inlay missing and old wear); a circular gold ground kogo with domed cover, the lid decorated with a crane beneath a mitsutomoe mon, both inlaid in aogai, the interior and base in hirame with scattered mitsutomoe mon in hiramakie, metal rims, 16th Century, (slight rubbing); a gold ground lacquer kogo decorated in gold hiramakie, takamakie and kirikane with a mountainous landscape, clouds, houses, a river and trees, nashiji interior, 19th Century, (slight rubbing); and a rectangular lacquer tray with rounded corners, decorated in togidashi, gold hiramakie, kirigane, aogai inlay and iroe takamakie with a crayfish among waves and rocks, reverse in nashiji, 19th Century, (some old wear)
