Slightly tapering rectangular etui-à-tablettes with arched top, of oval section, engraved overall with a diaperwork guilloché pattern covered with translucent strawberry rose enamel studded with diamond 'stars', within split-pearl set borders, obverse and reverse of cover applied with silver-mounted rose-cut diamond inscription SOUVENIR D'AMITIE within rose-cut diamond borders, the obverse of the base centred with an oval miniature painted with a Masonic subject on a blue glass panel set on an engine-turned ground, within a rose-cut diamond border, the reverse with identically framed similar plaque inscribed 'DU 14eme NOVEMBRE 1792' in seed pearls; wood pencil with parcel-enamelled gold cap, ear-spoon and four-leaved tablets inside
