A JEWELLED AND ENAMELLED GOLD PRESENTATION CIGARETTE CASE
possibly Swiss, the enamel miniature signed with initials 'D&M'
Pocket-fitting flattened rectangular polished gold case with rounded corners hinged at the left hand side, pushpiece and thumbpiece at the right hand side, the convex front side enamelled en plein with an oval reserve painted with the bust-length portrait of a proud moustached Oriental dignitary, possibly a Maharaja, full-face in blue coat and blue turban with white feather, his dress and turban embellished with enamelled gold paillons and studded with rose-cut diamonds on his turban, order and chains, mounted à-jour, against a green background
