JADEITE PENDANT, 19TH CENTURY, STRUNG IN BEIJING, CIRCA 1920
The colours of the stone cleverly utilised to depict a pair of birds in flight amid flowers and rocks on the front and a qilin issuing vapors to support a rising sun to the reverse, suspended from a knotted silk cord enhanced by carved emerald green jadeite beads and seed pearls (one bead restuck) 59 cm. long
Pendant 57.38 x 41.53 x 9.76 mm. Beads diameter 11.77 to 12.36 mm.
