The group comprises two irregular columnar segments, each carved in the round to imitate Taihu rocks, the larger openwork boulder decorated with four bats in flight along one side with the fifth bat, forming the wufu, carved on the smaller boulder, the stone with areas of russet skin and well-worked to highlight the overall design
