A FINELY CARVED JADEITE VASE GROUP
LATE QING DYNASTY
The baluster vase raised on a splayed foot, the elongated waisted neck flanked by a pair of detailed elephant handles suspending loose rings, the fitted cover surmounted by a finial surrounded by an elaborately carved group of pomegranates on a coiled vine and a large praying mantis perched on a gourd, the vase surrounded with a densely decorated scene of shepherds under a prunus tree, their flock standing on rockwork, the mottled stone with pale lavender tones and areas of apple-green inclusions (old breaks restuck)
