A pair of German gold and enamel tazze

Each shaped oval, on detachable stepped shaped oval pedestal foot, with reeded borders, engraved on the foot and body with a border of diaperwork, rosettes, scrolls and anthemion on a textured ground, the centre of each with a similar engraved border and each set with an enamelled coat-of-arms

The arms on one tazza are for Prince Fredrich Anton of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt (1692-1744) and the arms on the second tazza are the arms of a Prince of the Holy Roman Empire for Prince Friedrich Anton acollé with those of his second wife Christina Sophia, Princess of Ost-Friesland (1688-1750), daughter of Christian, Prince of Ost-Friesland and Eberhardine. The tazze were almost certainly presented on their wedding at Stadtilm in 1729. (2)
