A FINE PALE CELADON JADE MARRIAGE BOWL
18th century
The deep bowl flanked by a pair of naturalistic bat handles above lotus blossoms from which hang loose rings, carved in relief on the exterior with stylized lotus petals, above a leiwen design extending onto the spreading footrim, the base incised with an expanded floral motif against a background of oblique leiwen, the interior carved with rocks, lingzhi fungus and nandina, the stone of an even pale celadon tone with russet inclusions
