A SPANISH EBONY, AMARANTH AND IVORY CABINET-ON-STAND
17th Century
Decorated overall with rectangular placques with scenes of the life of Moses, the rectangular top and sides decorated with a geometric pattern, the front with a central door with turned columns enclosing two drawers and three variously sized secret drawers, surmounted by a drawer with a balustre gallery facade, above an inverted breakfront drawers, flanked to either side by four drawers, each with two panels, the later ebonised stand with rectangular moulded top, on spirally-turned legs joined by a waved x-shaped stretcher an on bun feet, restorations to veneers
201/8 in. (51 cm.) high; 34½ in. (87 cm.) wide; 12½ in. (32 cm.) deep (the cabinet)
