A NORTH ITALIAN WALNUT BUREAU
Second quarter 18th Century, Lombardy
Decorated with shaped panels framed by scrolling channelled mouldings, the later rounded rectangular top above a concave drawer, the spreading waved flap enclosing a plain walnut interior inlaid with simulated panels and with six drawers, above a panelled drawer and three further waved drawers, the side decorated with cartouche panels, on scrolling feet with later brown wash, losses to the restorations
