Meiji/Taisho Period (circa 1910)
The rectangular box resting on four small bracket feet and the cover with a large panel of two swimming carp decorated in grey and orange enamels with touches of brown and black on a pale blue ground, the fish scales above the surface of the water in moriage technique and silver wire and the submerged parts flush technique with gold wire, the ripples rendered in wireless moriage, the box lined with dark wood, impressed mark gin san ...
