A SUPERB SAPPHIRE AND EMERALD RING
Set with an octagonal-cut sapphire weighing 18.25 carats, in a pavé-set diamond mount, with rectangular-cut emerald shoulders to the single-cut diamond and plain hoop, size 6¼
With certificate 9909069 dated 16 September 1999 from the Gübelin Gemmological Laboratory stating that the sapphire is of Burmese origin and shows no indications of thermal enhancement
Also accompanied by an appendix stating:
"The natural sapphire of 18.25 ct described in the above mentioned report posseses a saturated and homogeneous colour, as well as a very high degree of transparency. In addition, this gemstone has been spared of exposure to thermal treatment. Such a combination of characteristics is rare in natural Burma sapphires of this size."
