A fine early 19th Century 6in. radius vernier sextant by Thosmas Jones
the lacquered brass 'Y' cross frame with arc signed Thomas Jones, Liverpool, inset silvered scale divided 5°- 0°- 145°, vernier with clamp, fine screw adjustment and swivel magnifier, sighting tubes, seven shades, two mirrors, octagonal handle and brass pin feet. Contained within a later fitted box with accessories and securing hooks -- 9¾in. (24.7cm.)
