A rare 18th Century dockyard repair/fitting and price list manuscript book
detailing the expenses in guineas for various masts fitted to approximately twenty Ships-of-the-Line including Valiant; Cenataur; Invincible; Mars; Warspight; Sandwich and Thetus, also with lists of proposed costs for bowsprit; mizon, main and fore masts for vessels of various ordinance and two pages entitled Price Proposed for Making Mast For a Ship of Each Clafs, dated 1783 and listing the costings for Warrior; Agamemnon; Jupiter; Minerva; Thetis and others, bound between vellum boards with brass lock (some pages loose/missing, old wear) -- 7¼ x 4¾in. (18.5 x 12cm.); together with a small oval picture of a R.N. frigate on a port reach, watercolour on card -- 3¼ x 2½in. (8.2 X 6.5cm.) framed and glazed

No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VAT at 17.5% will be added to the buyer's premium which is invoiced on a VAT inclusive basis. All sold picture lots (lots 300-668) not cleared by 2.00pm on Monday 20 November 2000 will be removed and may be cleared after 9.00am on Tuesday 21 November 2000 from the warehouse of Cadogan Tate Fine Art Removals Limited.
