Battle of the Nile: An autograph letter from Captain Berry to Captain Miller, dated 3rd August with an order from Nelson
written on one side of an addressed folded sheet with water mark for J. WHATMAN 1794 and remains of wax seal, full transcript reads: My Dear Miller, I am desired by Sr Horatio to say you are to take the whole charge of the dismasted prize you are near -- he knows she is badly off for ground tacking and knows you will do all you can -- he is now more easy than he was this morng the rage being over. Your getting under way pleased him much -- You know I am ever Yrs most truly E.Berry Vanguard 3d-Aug , the top margin with pencil markings dated 1844; together with a contemporary book plate engraving of Captain Sir Edward Miller, the letter -- 7¾ x 4½in.
